How to Open Sukanya Samriddhi Account in Bank : Reserve Bank of India Notifies to all bank to provide special form or an option for opening new account in bank it means you have your account in bank and you are father of girl than you can also connect your account to Sukanya Samriddhi Sceme.

Objective: To promote the welfare of Girl Child

Who can open the account: A natural/ blood relation guardian on behalf of a girl child.

Maximum number of accounts in Samriddhi Sukanya Scheme : Upto two girl children or three girls (If Twin) as second birth results in three girl baby.

Age Limit for Girl to open account in Sukanya Samriddhi: For a girl maximum age limit required is 10 years. Not above 10 Years.

Minimum and Maximum Sukanya Samriddhi Amount of Bank Deposit: Minimum investment of Rs 1000 of deposit with multiple of one hundred rupees after that limit to deposit ceiling of Rs.1,50,000 in a financial year.

Tenure of the Last Year to Deposit: Up to 21 years from the date of opening of the account.

Maximum period up to which deposits can be made: 14 years from the date of opening of the account.

Interest Rate on Deposit: Government of India annually gives directive to check total amount and monthly interest. After completed deposit girl pay-outs to be calculated on balance credited in its Current rate 8.60%w.e.f 1st April, 2016.

Tax Rebate Concession: There will be no tax on the amount invested in Sukanya Samriddhi, amount earned as interest and amount withdrawn.

Premature Closure: Allowed in the event of death of the depositor or in cases of extreme compassionate grounds such as medical support in life threatening diseases to be authorized by an order by the Central Government.

Irregular Payment/ Revival of account: If candidates forgot to pay amount of Sukanya Samriddhi than penalty of Rs.50 per year along with the minimum specified amount per year will be charged.

Mode of Deposit: Cash, Cheque, Demand Draft, Transfer and online transfers through internet Banking .

Withdrawal : after attaining the age of 18 years at the end of financial year for the purpose of education, marriage she can withdrawal.
