Indira Gandhi National UP Old Age Pension Scheme 2016 (IGNOAPS) 200 pm per beneficiary is provided to persons of 65 years or higher and belonging to a BPL family according to criteria prescribed by Government of India. The States are urged to contribute another Rs.200 from their own resources so that a pensioner could get at least 400 per month. UP Widow pension scheme is provided under IGNWPS to the BPL widows of age group of 40-64 years. Disability pension is provided to the multiple or severely disabled persons of age group of 18-64 years

UP Old Age Vridha Pension Scheme Form 2016 Indira Gandhi National Social Assistance Programme NSAP Scheme 2016 Government of India introduced National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) in 1995. The NSAP National Social Assistance Programme scheme aims at ensuring minimum national standard for social assistance in addition to the benefits that states are currently providing or would provide in future.

Ans. The eligibility criteria under IGNOAPS is as under :-

- age of the applicant (male or female) should be 65 years or above.

- the applicant should be belonging to a household living below the poverty line.

Ans. The eligibility criteria IGNWPS is as under:-

- the applicant (widow) should be in the age group of 40-64 years.- the applicant should be belonging to a household living below the poverty line.

What is the amount of Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension under NSAP?

Ans. The central contribution for each of the three pension schemes viz., IGNOAPS, IGNDPS & IGNWPS is Rs.200/- per beneficiary per month and the State Governments

may contribute over and above to this amount. At present old age beneficiaries are getting pension anywhere between Rs. 200/- to Rs. 1000/- per month depending on the

State Contribution.

Whom do I contact for getting Indira Gandhi pension yojana under the scheme?

Ans. The social security schemes are generally implemented by the Social Welfare Departments in the States. However, in some States, Rural Development Department or samaj kalyan vibhag widow pension scheme ,Women Child Development Department are administering these schemes. The concerned department in the State may be approached for getting pension.
