SSC CHSL 2015 Skill Test (DEST) Pattern: To get qualify Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on computer will be held. You will be given in English Printed paragraph to type on computer. Time Duration to complete SSC Typing test is 15 Minutes. And to qualify minimum speed of 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions.

Important Instruction:

I: Typing Test for PH Candidates: None of the applicant including PH candidates who qualify in the written part of the examination will be exempted from the skill test.

II: 40% disability (VH) Visually Handicapped candidates will be allowed 35 minutes for the skill test.

SSC CHSL 2015 Typing Test syllabus: Typing Test will be set in both English or Hindi and candidates want to give Examination will have to take choice or option for Typing Test Medium English/Hindi in the Application Form. Applicant who have selected English medium should maintain typing speed of 35 words per minute Corresponds to 10500 key depressions per hour. In Hindi Applicant who have selected Hindi medium should maintain typing speed of 30 words per minute and 30 wpm corresponds to 9000 key depressions per hour.The speed will be judged on the accuracy of typing speed on the computer text passage in 10 minutes. Visually Handicapped candidates allowed 30 minutes. And In English the passage to be typed in 10 minutes has 1750 key depressions and in Hindi it has 900.
