Why Vodafone IDEA wants to increase Data Plan: Vodafone and Idea has filed case in Supreme Court for 18 years time period to pay AGR on adjusted gross revenue (AGR) due. Vodafone Idea is under pressure to pay Rs 53,000 crore and both companies managed to pay only half a billion dollar i.e. Rs 3500 crore.

The Company wants 18 years time interval to pay their Tax cum AGR. They also announced, they are not in condition to pay payment and they may shut down their business but also says if the data price increase then AGR paid in 3 years.
