AFCAT Vacancy 2017 is a Special Entry & Meteorology Branch For Air Force Commissioned Officer, Last Date 31st August 2017.

AFCAT Vacancy 2017 Online applications are invited for the commissioned officer courses commencing in July 2018 for grant of Permanent Commission (PC) for men/Short Service Commission (SSC) for men & women in Flying and Meteorology Branch. Indian Air Force invites enterprising & and adventures Indian citizens (Not Men and Women), To Join the Indian Air force as commissioned officers in flying and meteorology branches.

Indian Air force Commissioned Officer Vacancy 2017: IAF Commissioned Officer Application Form will be open on 05 August 17 Last Date on 31st August 2017 For NCC Special Entry & Meteorology Branch, Courses Commencing in July 2018.

2. Eligibility criteria are given in the table:-

Educational Qualification

(a)NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ Certificate acquired on or after 06 Aug 2015 is mandatory.
(b)Minimum of 60% marks each in Math’s & Physics at 10+2 level and Graduate with minimum three year degree course in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum of 60% marks each in Math’s & Physics at 10+2 level and BE/B. Tech degree (Four years course) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India From a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent are also eligible.

Age Limit: 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2018.

AFCAT commissioned officer Physical Test 2017: In Height & Weight (For Men & Women) below given in centimeters

1. Height: 162.5 cms
2. Leg Length: Min -99cms, Max-120 cms
3. Thigh Length: Max -64cms
4. Sitting Height: Min-81.5 cms, Max-96 cms.
5. Weight Proportionate to the height and age.

*Criteria for post LASIK surgery for Flying and Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branch are as follows:-

(i)Candidates who have undergone PRK (Photo Refractive Keratotomy)/LASIK (Laser in Situ Keratomileusis) may be considered fit for commissioning in Air Force duties.

(ii)Post PRK/LASIK candidates must meet the visual requirements required for the branch as laid down in Para 3.12.5.2 IAP 4303 (4th edition).
