Selection process:

Candidate will be selected on basis of Written Exams, Shorthand Test and Computer Knowledge Test Preliminary Examination (objective) only those candidates shall be called to appear in the Main Written Examination who secure 45% or more marks in the Preliminary Examination, provided candidates not more than 20 times of number of vacancies category-wise i.e. separately for General, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes shall be admitted to the Main Written Examination.


Qualification: 

10th pass, Knowledge of Regional language Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or qualification equivalent thereto. Age: 21 Year to 35 Years as on 1/07/2014

Those candidates called for Test / Interview will have to appear before the authorities in the premises of the High Court of Karnataka, Principal Bench at Bangalore at their own cost.

The examination shall consist of the following three Parts:

Part I Dictation of two Passages in English containing total 600 words for transcription to ascertain the speed in Shorthand for the post of Assistant.
Part – II A Passage in English containing 500 words for typing to ascertain the speed in Typing for the post of Research Assistants.
Part – III Viva Voce.

Points To Remember:

Candidates called for Tests/Viva-voce will have to appear for the same at their own cost.
Candidates finally selected for the post of Second Division Assistants may be posted to work either at Principal Bench at Bangalore, or at benches at Dharwad and Gulbarga.

Candidates claiming reservation under Local Cadre (i.e. candidates belonging to
Hyderabad Karnataka Region) shall possess the relevant certificate issued by the
Competent Authority on or before the last day of applying online as prescribed under
